P.J. Boner & Co. have been designing, building, installing and commissioning automation systems for 30 years. Using our expertise in Instrumentation and weighing we have successfully used this to the benefit of our customers who wish to automate all or some of their system.

Our automation systems can consist of small PLC’s with less than 10 I/O’s up to large plant systems that have thousands of I/O – we can cater for the needs of the small plant starting out or the larger established plants.

We discuss the overall idea with our customer and propose a system to suit that particular customer. We then follow a defined methodology for producing a system that will help improve productivity and efficiency on the plant floor. The system is considered handed over only when the customer is happy with the project and all aspects are completed as per the specification.

PLC’s are generally the core of our systems, where we have an in-house team of automation engineers who program the PLC code from start to finish but still utilising existing components that have been used in previous projects to help move the project along effectively. The SCADA system is designed to suit the individual needs of the customer and simplistic and conceptually correct operator interface is always achieved. Our SCADA system are also enhanced by our various programming skills that can develop the system into more complex machines that can integrate with other plant IT systems. Our systems have been installed in all types of industry including Pharmaceutical, Food & Dairy, Concrete, Animal Feed, Glass and Metal. Using our calibration experience there is not many industries that we haven’t worked in or have an understanding off.
